WRG2019 - Lance Evans

Lance Evans.
Hometown: Auckland residing in Brisbane (he’s definitely one of us, don’t worry)
Age: 61
Stance: Goofy
Instagram/FB: lanceevans
Rides for: IXO, Alsen Trucks, All Downhill Distribution, Mac-nels Evans International Freight Consolidators

Lance is something of a legend in our NZ Downhill team - the man is an ex semi-professional motor racer, owns his own global shipping agency, organises one of the most prestigious events on the IDF World Cup Tour… Oh, and did we mention he is president of ASRA, the Australian Skateboard Racing Association (yes, we have infiltrated them at last!)? No one knows quite how he does it, but Lance somehow manages it all in addition to getting on the IDF world rankings at #4 for street luge. Whatever it is though, it clearly runs in the family as his son Josh is also currently the world #4 ranked downhill skateboarder.

Lance has been whipping both the NZ and Australian World Roller Games teams into shape, so competitors beware, because that’s a LOT of pent up stress to release when he rolls up to the start line. To relax, he enjoys spending time with his family including long-suffering wife Anita (how DOES she put up with his daredevil antics?), and growing menagerie of two dogs, a cat, and wee granddaughter Florence.

Fun Fact: Ask him about plans for his big American Motorhome!
